If you are doing business in garments printing or with a heat press machine, then it's important to choose the right transfer paper for your printing business.

Now let's talk about the inkjet transfer paper. The inkjet transfer paper is used to transfer your images, texts, drawings, designs, and other elements to your selected fabric materials that can only be printed by using an inkjet printer. The inkjet transfer paper can be classified into two types, light inkjet transfer paper, and dark inkjet transfer paper.

Getting high-quality inkjet transfer paper can make difference not only with the surface color of the fabric and also has an impact on how it is used and the completion of work. So before you purchase the paper you should know the types of inkjet transfer paper and also the difference and similarities between them.

Difference 1:

When you are printing the image, logo, or design into the white or light-colored fabric, such as cotton/polyester blend, 100% polyester, cotton/spandex, cotton/nylon, etc. then you need to use light inkjet transfer paper.

On the other hand, while using dark or light-colored fabric such as cotton/polyester blend, 100% polyester, cotton/spandex, cotton/nylon, etc. then you need to use dark inkjet transfer paper.

Difference 2:

With the light inkjet transfer paper after printing the image, the back paper will be peeled off within 3 seconds simply after heat press.

With the dark inkjet transfer paper after printing the image, the back paper will be peeled off normally before heat pressing.

Difference 3:

With the light inkjet transfer paper whatever design you want to transfer to your fabric, you need to print a mirror image and place the designed image downwards on the fabric.

On the other hand, with the dark inkjet transfer paper, you don’t need to print your design in a mirror image. And the design can be placed normally upwards direction on the fabric.

Difference 4:

On the light inkjet transfer paper setting the heat press machine at 185°  celsius for 15 seconds while transferring the design to your fabric,

On the other hand with the dark inkjet transfer paper setting the heat press machine at 165°celsius for 25 seconds while transferring the design to your fabric.
